The Underdog Company | Est. 2010 | Seattle, WA
The Underdog Company — a personal project focused on apparel and headwear that began during undergrad at Georgia Southern University — has become a platform for me to be transparent about my experiences and encourage others.
My ultimate goal is to create something honest and real, using apparel for a bigger message. It takes a lot of courage to do what you love, to pour yourself into the process of building a dream. It’s not always pretty. Sometimes you lose; that’s especially common in the beginning stages. It will be frustrating at times, but the fulfillment you get from doing something you’re passionate about makes the journey worthwhile. That is what keeps me going. It provides a sense of purpose. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch something you are building with your hands, tears and faith blossom into something beautiful. My mission with the Underdog Company is to motivate others to build their dreams. Start where you are, with what you have. Take it one day at a time.
"What I love about what Underdog is doing is that they're letting people know it's ok to go through struggles, it's one of the things that make us human- our vulnerability. Taking a day doesn't make me weak; it's making sure that I make my mental and physical health a priority- the ultimate form of strength. All this from a sweater? Yea, cuz it's more than just clothes. The Underdog Co. is starting a movement. Thank you, we need this!" —Aramis Hamer
"The Underdog Co. [is] a brand known for soft and quality fabric, mixed with classically simple designs that are meant to transcend the test of time." —Porsha Antalan, Blogger & Photographer
